LingoSlide Privacy Policy

1. How LingoSlide works

LingoSlide is an English-learning application covering vocabulary, grammar, and practice from A1 to C1. It has no LingoSlide account, sign-in, or automatic cloud synchronization. Learning content remains free. Version 1.2 may show Yandex advertising; voluntary rewarded ads are used only for the optional streak-repair action.

2. Data stored locally

The app stores learning answers, viewed and learned words, reviews, levels and Path state, placement results, favorites, practice results, daily goals, streak state, study time, a voluntary display name, language and accessibility preferences, reminder settings, and local functional counters on the device. LingoSlide does not send this learning data to the developer or to remote analytics.

The app does not require an email address, phone number, or learning password. It does not access contacts, precise or approximate location, camera, or photos, and it does not record microphone audio.

3. Speech and system services

Pronunciation uses the Android text-to-speech engine installed on the device. The selected learning text is provided to that engine. Depending on the engine and voice, speech may be processed locally or by the engine provider under its own terms.

4. Notifications and permissions

Optional study reminders are scheduled locally. Declining notification permission does not restrict learning. Internet access is used for Yandex ads and external links. Core learning content and progress remain local-first. LingoSlide requests no location permission and disables location tracking in its advertising configuration.

5. Backups

LingoSlide has no automatic cloud backup account. Android may separately back up app data according to the device and system provider settings. The developer cannot access those system backups.

Version 1.2 can create an encrypted manual .lsb backup and restore it when the user chooses. The file is saved only to a user-selected location and is not uploaded to a LingoSlide cloud service. The password is not sent to the developer and cannot be recovered by LingoSlide; keep the file and password separately.

6. Advertising and third parties

LingoSlide uses Yandex Mobile Ads for interstitial ads after certain completed learning actions and voluntary rewarded ads for streak repair. Ads do not gate vocabulary, lessons, review, grammar, practice, progress, or backups. No mediation or additional advertising network is integrated.

The Yandex SDK may process the device advertising identifier and technical device information to select, deliver, measure, and protect advertising. Processing depends on the device, region, system settings, and personalization choice. LingoSlide does not provide Yandex with the user's name, learning answers or progress, favorites, backup contents, age, gender, or location.

Before initializing ads, LingoSlide lets the user allow personalization and related data processing or continue without personalization. Declining personalization does not mean zero data processing; contextual or non-personalized ads may still be shown. The choice can be revisited under Profile → Advertising & Privacy. User-opened Telegram, store, and other external links are handled by the relevant external service under its own terms.

7. Support messages

If you email support, the sender address, message, and attachments are used to answer and resolve the request. Do not send passwords, payment data, or unrelated sensitive information. The app does not upload diagnostics automatically. You may request deletion of support correspondence when it is no longer required, subject to applicable law.

8. Security, retention, and deletion

Learning data remains in Android's private app storage until removed. The local database is not separately encrypted by LingoSlide. You can clear it in Android app storage settings or uninstall the app; system or manually exported backups must be managed separately. Because there is no LingoSlide account, the developer cannot remotely delete the local database.

9. Age

LingoSlide is a general educational vocabulary application, not a service specifically directed to preschool children. It does not ask for a birth date or create an age profile. Store content ratings and the declared target audience are separate from this policy.

10. Changes and rights

This policy is updated when functions or data handling change. Questions about data, support correspondence, access, correction, or deletion can be sent to works.so.creative@gmail.com.
